Serving auto enthusiasts throughout the United States from our home in Kansas, we have been a leading leaf spring and suspension provider since 1965.

Our History of Service
Our history makes us who we are. In 1965, Paul Flood established General Spring with high hopes. He dreamed of providing a full-service repair shop to the Kansas City area, one specializing in automotive leaf springs.
In 1985, Paul's brother Jim took over and transferred operations to Olathe, Kansas. He aimed to expand throughout southern Kansas City. After Jim Flood passed away in 1995, his son, Jim Jr., followed in his father's footsteps.
Jim Jr. oversaw the company's management until 2004, at which point Joe Wallace assumed control. In 2006, General Spring's business grew to an even larger area with its first website's launch. In 2014, General Spring upgraded to an 18,000-square-foot building and started warehousing products to improve shipping.
True to Paul's original purpose, General Spring now provides a full-service shop and ships products all over the country and around the world. From the very beginning, quality service was the main goal. We now offer that service to a wider audience, fulfilling Paul's dream.

Our add-a-leaf kits improve the already powerful suspension of our leaf springs. If you need to replace any broken or worn suspension parts, we carry shackles, hangers, springs and timbrens to ensure that every aspect of your suspension is in top shape.
We also offer customized leaf springs for classic vehicle restoration or any other application, so you can always have parts that suit your project. All of our products are made in the United States. Our add-a-leaf kits improve the already powerful suspension of our leaf springs.
